Fire Marshall's Reminder About Fire Safety Equipment

The Kitsap County Fire Marshals office would like to remind all business owners in their responsibility in the inspections and maintenance that are required for your fire protection equipment.
All fire alarm system must be tested annually.
Fire extinguishers must be serviced annually.
Hood suppression systems must be certified every 6 months
Fire sprinkler systems must be tested annually
Fire department connections for sprinkler systems must be flushed every 5 years
These requirements are for the safety of yourselves, your employees and your customers. The fire protection systems in your building are key to the protection plan of our community these inspections are not optional and should not be sacrificed for other programs.
